Residential Services

In our Residential Services program we provide small, community-based group homes that offer adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities opportunities to live as independently as possible in the community.

Using our person-centered approach to service delivery, we provide flexible services to meet the needs of each resident including those who may choose a group home as a transitional step prior to independent living or as a long-term support option.

It’s All About Choice

Attractive and well-maintained, our group homes are fully integrated into their surrounding neighborhoods which help our residents become naturally involved in home and community activities. In addition, we focus on encouraging residents to make their own choices whenever possible and help them select the types of activities they want to participate in such as outings with staff, organized sporting events, picnics, dances and attending other local community functions.

Each of our group homes is staffed with experienced human services professionals who are in the home 24/7 providing personalized services and support based on the needs and abilities of each individual. Our team, which includes a House Manager, Program Support Coordinator and Direct Support Professionals (DSP), work collaboratively with the individual and their family to design an Essential Lifestyle Plan (ELP) which is continually monitored and adjusted as residents reach new goals.

Skill-building and Enrichment

In each person’s Essential Lifestyle Plan we provide opportunities for skill-building through productive activities as well as social and recreational outings. Our staff assist individuals in a variety of training and skill development areas including:

  • Personal awareness
  • Medical care and monitoring
  • Language and communication services
  • Access to community resources
  • Assistance in financial management
  • Safety skill development
  • Mobility skill maintenance and development
  • Recreational enrichment
